Become CoR Compliant

All companies that engage external freight carriers and or contractors are required under Chain of Responsibility legislation to have in place formal policies and procedures that demonstrate a proactive approach to operating in a compliant manner and avoiding breaches.

Freightrain has developed a simple and cost effective 3 step process to protect your organisation from breaches of the act.

Step One: Assessment and Gap Analysis

This comprehensive Gap Analysis is conducted on site by our industry experts and includes:

  • Review of your internal freight “paperwork trail” as well as correspondence provided by the transport companies
  • Review of your internal processes and procedures
  • Review of Documentation, if any, collected from transport providers showing evidence of CoR Compliance
  • Summary of your current level of CoR Compliance
  • Identification of and recommendations of actions you need to take to remedy any CoR Compliance issues
     

Step Two: Close the Gaps

Once the Gap Analysis has been completed Freightrain will work with you as required to address any shortcomings including the development of internal processes and procedures and the creation of various template documents.

We can also provide a Chain of Responsibility training program for all of your staff to ensure they are aware of their responsibilities and obligations under the legislation.

 

Step Three: Confirm Compliance

Once any shortcomings have been addressed we then recommend undertaking the formal Freightrain Compliance Audit. This involves a RABQSA certified Heavy Vehicle auditor verifying the implementation of the recommendations of the Gap Analysis and importantly demonstrates further proactive action to operate in a compliant manner.

Freightrain can also provide periodic assessment audits of both your own operations and those of your suppliers to ensure all compliance remains current.
